Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Switchback by Clement Meadmore was sold in the Post-War to Present auction at Christies in New York in March 2020. The price achieved of USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,600.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Clement Meadmore have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Upcast in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 134,500.00 (€ 95,518.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Switchback von Clement Meadmore wurde im März 2020 in der Auktion Post-War to Present bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.600,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Clement Meadmore auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Upcast im September 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 134.500,00 (€ 95.518,78).
