Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Open End by Clement Meadmore. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,755.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Clement Meadmore have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Upcast in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 134,500.00 (€ 95,518.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Open End von Clement Meadmore zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.755,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Clement Meadmore auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Upcast im September 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 134.500,00 (€ 95.518,78).
