Auction result well in line with expectations
The work U Turn by Clement Meadmore was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2017. The price achieved of USD 35,000.00 (€ 32,716.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Clement Meadmore - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Upcast, which sold at auction in September 2008 for USD 134,500.00 (€ 95,518.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit U Turn von Clement Meadmore kam im März 2017 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 32.716,40) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Clement Meadmore mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Upcast beobachtet, die im September 2008 für USD 134.500,00 (€ 95.518,78) versteigert wurde.
