Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Kwang Young Chun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in January 2016. In the Boundless: Contemporary Art auction, the work Aggregation 001-Se073 sold for HKD 287,500.00 (€ 34,079.58) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kwang Young Chun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Aggregation 07-De245, which sold at auction in November 2013 for HKD 1,360,000.00 (€ 128,943.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kwang Young Chun erzielte im Januar 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Boundless: Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Aggregation 001-Se073 für HKD 287.500,00 (€ 34.079,58) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Kwang Young Chun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Aggregation 07-De245 beobachtet, die im November 2013 für HKD 1.360.000,00 (€ 128.943,11) versteigert wurde.
