Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Chiho Aoshima could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Sublime Grave Dweller Shinko changed hands for USD 4,410.00 (€ 3,755.43) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chiho Aoshima achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work City Glow in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 48,508.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chiho Aoshima konnte im März 2021 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Sublime Grave Dweller Shinko für USD 4.410,00 (€ 3.755,43) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chiho Aoshima erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit City Glow im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 48.508,37).
