Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2013 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Charles Ray for USD 147,750.00 (€ 113,758.85). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary Afternoon Session at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Ray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Aluminum Girl in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 4,282,500.00 (€ 3,463,684.89).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2013 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Charles Ray für USD 147.750,00 (€ 113.758,85) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Afternoon Session bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Ray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Aluminum Girl im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.282.500,00 (€ 3.463.684,89).
