Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Summer Loving by Cecily Brown was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2012. It achieved a price of USD 266,500.00 (€ 204,842.43), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cecily Brown achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (The Beautiful and Damned) in May this year with an auction result of USD 6,705,000.00 (€ 6,293,410.93).
