Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Cecily Brown achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September this year. In the Post-War to Present auction, the work without title sold for USD 81,900.00 (€ 77,380.95) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cecily Brown achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (The Beautiful and Damned) in May this year with an auction result of USD 6,705,000.00 (€ 6,293,410.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Cecily Brown erzielte im September diesen Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War to Present wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 81.900,00 (€ 77.380,95) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cecily Brown erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (The Beautiful and Damned) im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.705.000,00 (€ 6.293.410,93).
