A top price for Cecily Brown - as previously expected
In May this year Christies in New York held the auction 21st Century Evening Sale, which included the work Untitled (The Beautiful and Damned) by Cecily Brown. It changed hands for a price of USD 6,705,000.00 (€ 6,293,410.93) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 5,000,000.00 – 7,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Untitled (The Beautiful and Damned) is the most expensive artwork by Cecily Brown that we have observed at auctions so far.
