Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Calvin Marcus was auctioned at Phillips in New York in April this year. The price achieved of USD 508.00 (€ 460.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Calvin Marcus achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dead Soldier in May last year with an auction result of USD 151,200.00 (€ 140,900.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Calvin Marcus kam im April diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 508,00 (€ 460,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Calvin Marcus erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dead Soldier im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 151.200,00 (€ 140.900,20).
