Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Boris Mikhailov could be acquired at Christies in New York in May last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Untitled (from the “Yesterday's Sandwich” series) changed hands for USD 1,890.00 (€ 1,761.25) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Boris Mikhailov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Twenty-Three Works From By The Ground Series in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 57,500.00 (€ 67,112.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Boris Mikhailov konnte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (from the “Yesterday's Sandwich” series) für USD 1.890,00 (€ 1.761,25) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Boris Mikhailov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Twenty-Three Works From By The Ground Series im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 57.500,00 (€ 67.112,80).
