The work Defiance by Bill Jensen was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2011. The result of USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,046.17) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Bill Jensen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Givers and Takers in July 2019 with an auction result of USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,423.18).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Defiance von Bill Jensen kam im Juli 2011 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 1.500,00 (€ 1.046,17) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bill Jensen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Givers and Takers im Juli 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.423,18).
