This artwork by Bill Jensen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in March this year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction auction, the work Drunken Brush #26 sold for USD 2,794.00 (€ 2,569.90) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bill Jensen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Givers and Takers, which sold at auction in July 2019 for USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,423.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bill Jensen erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Phillips einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction wurde die Arbeit Drunken Brush #26 für USD 2.794,00 (€ 2.569,90) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Bill Jensen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Givers and Takers beobachtet, die im Juli 2019 für USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.423,18) versteigert wurde.
