Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Drawing For Two Separate Installations Combined Into One Installation In 2 Perspectives - A by Barry Le Va was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2019. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 9,170.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Barry Le Va - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Three works: (i) Double Drawing; (ii) Untitled (feld & glas); (iii) Sheets to Strips to Particles, which sold at auction in February 2019 for USD 22,500.00 (€ 19,773.27).
