Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work York Avenue Tenements; Tenement Walls; and One Way Street (K. 74, 88, 106) by Armin Landeck was auctioned at Christies in New York in February 2002, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 900.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 822.50 (€ 949.99). Admittedly, works by Armin Landeck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pop's Tavern in August this year with an auction result of USD 6,048.00 (€ 5,579.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit York Avenue Tenements; Tenement Walls; and One Way Street (K. 74, 88, 106) von Armin Landeck im Februar 2002 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 900,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 822,50 (€ 949,99) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Armin Landeck auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pop's Tavern im August diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.048,00 (€ 5.579,85).
