Bedford Street (second state); Shadowed Street (Kraeft 68.1; K. 98)
two etchings, 1938 and 1947 respectively, both on wove paper, both signed in pencil, from the editions of 80 and 75 respectively, both with margins, (K. 68.1) with the palest light-staining, (K. 98) with remains of old glue at the extreme right margin edge, both hinged to the backboards (K.98 showing through), otherwise both generally in very good condition; and DON FREEMAN, On the Fly Rail Above the Stars-- lithograph, 1938, signed in pencil, numbered 2/50, apparently in very good condition, not examined out of the frame (3)

This artwork by Armin Landeck achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in February 2002. In the Prints auction, the work Bedford Street (second state); Shadowed Street (Kraeft 68.1; K. 98) sold for USD 1,410.00 (€ 1,628.55) - well above the upper estimate of USD 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Armin Landeck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pop's Tavern, which sold at auction in August this year for USD 6,048.00 (€ 5,579.85).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Armin Landeck erzielte im Februar 2002 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints wurde die Arbeit Bedford Street (second state); Shadowed Street (Kraeft 68.1; K. 98) für USD 1.410,00 (€ 1.628,55) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Armin Landeck mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pop's Tavern beobachtet, die im August diesen Jahres für USD 6.048,00 (€ 5.579,85) versteigert wurde.
