In August this year Christies in Sydney held the auction Tales of the City: New York Prints and Photographs of the Early 20th Century, which included the work Manhattan Canyon by Armin Landeck. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,772.00 (€ 2,557.43), 39% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Armin Landeck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pop's Tavern, which sold at auction in August this year for USD 6,048.00 (€ 5,579.85).

Im August diesen Jahres führte Christies in Sydney die Auktion Tales of the City: New York Prints and Photographs of the Early 20th Century durch, in der auch die Arbeit Manhattan Canyon von Armin Landeck zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.772,00 (€ 2.557,43) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Armin Landeck mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pop's Tavern beobachtet, die im August diesen Jahres für USD 6.048,00 (€ 5.579,85) versteigert wurde.
