It achieved a price of USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,506.06), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 46%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by April Gornik achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Delicate Hour (For My Father) in March this year with an auction result of USD 75,600.00 (€ 69,536.42).

Die Arbeit Edge of the Marsh von April Gornik wurde im September 2011 in der Auktion First OpenPost-War & Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 6.506,06) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 46%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von April Gornik erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Delicate Hour (For My Father) im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.600,00 (€ 69.536,42).
