Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Antonio Dias achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in October 2018. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work The Space: Culture sold for GBP 200,000.00 (€ 225,538.30) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 90,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Antonio Dias; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Free Continent: Natural Richnesses sold at auction in November 2012 with the realized price of USD 434,500.00 (€ 333,973.87).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Antonio Dias erzielte im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit The Space: Culture für GBP 200.000,00 (€ 225.538,30) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 90.000,00.
