Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art Online, which included this untitled work by Antonio Dias. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,344.04) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonio Dias achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Free Continent: Natural Richnesses in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 434,500.00 (€ 333,973.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art Online durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Antonio Dias zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.344,04) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antonio Dias erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Free Continent: Natural Richnesses im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 434.500,00 (€ 333.973,87).
