In November 2012 Phillips in New York held the auction Latin America, which included the work Free Continent: Natural Richnesses by Antonio Dias. The »bidding war« ended at USD 434,500.00 (€ 333,973.87), 24% above the upper estimate. With this result, Free Continent: Natural Richnesses is even the most expensive work of art by Antonio Dias that we have observed at auctions so far.
