Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Anthony Pearson could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Curated featuring works from the Collection of Joni Gordon of Newspace Gallery auction, the work Untitled (Opaque) changed hands for USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,939.18) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anthony Pearson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Plaster Positive), which sold at auction in May 2014 for USD 22,500.00 (€ 16,495.60).
