It achieved a price of USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,524.88), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anne Brigman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flame, which sold at auction in April 2000 for USD 18,800.00 (€ 20,684.34).

Die Arbeit The Heart of the Storm von Anne Brigman wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 9.524,88) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Für andere Arbeiten von Anne Brigman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flame beobachtet, die im April 2000 für USD 18.800,00 (€ 20.684,34) versteigert wurde.
