Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work 'Invictus' by Anne Brigman for USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,746.35). This price was achieved in the auction The Modern Image: Photographs from an Important American Collection at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Anne Brigman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flame in April 2000 with an auction result of USD 18,800.00 (€ 20,684.34).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit 'Invictus' von Anne Brigman für USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.746,35) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Modern Image: Photographs from an Important American Collection bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anne Brigman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flame im April 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.800,00 (€ 20.684,34).
