Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Anne Brigman could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the MoMA: Pictorialism into Modernism auction, the work Untitled, c. 1910 changed hands for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,219.44) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Anne Brigman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flame in April 2000 with an auction result of USD 18,800.00 (€ 20,684.34).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Anne Brigman konnte im Oktober 2017 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion MoMA: Pictorialism into Modernism wechselte die Arbeit Untitled, c. 1910 für USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.219,44) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anne Brigman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flame im April 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.800,00 (€ 20.684,34).
