This artwork by Ann Craven achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in July 2021. In the Contemporary Art Online | New York auction, the work Pink Canary (Stepping Out on Black, with Hollyhocks and Cherries) sold for USD 13,860.00 (€ 11,682.40) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ann Craven achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work I Wasn't Sorry, 2003 in May last year with an auction result of USD 680,400.00 (€ 634,050.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ann Craven erzielte im Juli 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York wurde die Arbeit Pink Canary (Stepping Out on Black, with Hollyhocks and Cherries) für USD 13.860,00 (€ 11.682,40) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ann Craven erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit I Wasn't Sorry, 2003 im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 680.400,00 (€ 634.050,88).
