Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Piss Christ by Andres Serrano. The »bidding war« ended at USD 185,000.00 (€ 135,630.50), 23% above the upper estimate. Other works by Andres Serrano have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 314,500.00 (€ 233,776.85) in November 2011 for the work Piss Christ.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Piss Christ von Andres Serrano zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 185.000,00 (€ 135.630,50) und damit 23% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Andres Serrano haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 314.500,00 (€ 233.776,85) im November 2011 für die Arbeit Piss Christ beobachtet.
