This work without title by Alma Thomas was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2018. It achieved a price of USD 52,500.00 (€ 45,172.95), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 31%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alma Thomas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Fantastic Sunset in May this year with an auction result of USD 3,922,000.00 (€ 3,681,246.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 31 % übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Alma Thomas kam im September 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 45.172,95) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 31%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alma Thomas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Fantastic Sunset im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.922.000,00 (€ 3.681.246,48).
