This work without title by Alma Thomas was sold in the Contemporary Art Day: An Online Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2020. It achieved a price of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,136.96), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 61%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alma Thomas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Fantastic Sunset in May this year with an auction result of USD 3,922,000.00 (€ 3,681,246.48).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Alma Thomas wurde im Mai 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day: An Online Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.136,96) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 61%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alma Thomas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Fantastic Sunset im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.922.000,00 (€ 3.681.246,48).
