This artwork by Alfonso Ossorio achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2019. In the Contemporary Art Online auction, the work without title sold for USD 30,000.00 (€ 26,718.92) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfonso Ossorio achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nevertheless in May last year with an auction result of USD 604,800.00 (€ 563,600.78).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Alfonso Ossorio erzielte im März 2019 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Online wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 30.000,00 (€ 26.718,92) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfonso Ossorio erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nevertheless im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 604.800,00 (€ 563.600,78).
