The work Turn For The Better by Alfonso Ossorio was sold in the Contemporary Art Online auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2019. The auction ended at the price of USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,172.07), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfonso Ossorio achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nevertheless in May last year with an auction result of USD 604,800.00 (€ 563,600.78).

Die Arbeit Turn For The Better von Alfonso Ossorio wurde im März 2019 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Online bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.172,07) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfonso Ossorio erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nevertheless im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 604.800,00 (€ 563.600,78).
