Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2015 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Turn of Phrase by Alex Olson. It changed hands for a price of USD 17,500.00 (€ 16,568.83) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Other works by Alex Olson have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2014 the work Circulate was auctioned for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 22,344.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2015 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Turn of Phrase von Alex Olson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 16.568,83) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Alex Olson konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2014 die Arbeit Circulate für GBP 17.500,00 (€ 22.344,97) versteigert.
