Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Evolution Of Man by Ahmed Mater. It changed hands for a price of USD 37,500.00 (€ 31,517.90) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ahmed Mater have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Magnetism (Triptych) in June this year with an auction result of GBP 189,000.00 (€ 219,963.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Evolution Of Man von Ahmed Mater zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 31.517,90) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ahmed Mater auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Magnetism (Triptych) im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 189.000,00 (€ 219.963,46).
