Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Human Highway (Mina) (Desert of Pharan series) by Ahmed Mater was auctioned at Christies in London in November this year. It achieved a price of GBP 35,280.00 (€ 40,881.85), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Admittedly, works by Ahmed Mater have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Magnetism (Triptych) in June this year with an auction result of GBP 189,000.00 (€ 219,963.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Human Highway (Mina) (Desert of Pharan series) von Ahmed Mater kam im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 35.280,00 (€ 40.881,85) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ahmed Mater auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Magnetism (Triptych) im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 189.000,00 (€ 219.963,46).
