Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Saudievolution Of Man by Ahmed Mater was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2018. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 7,250.00 (€ 8,256.98). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ahmed Mater achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Magnetism (Triptych) in June this year with an auction result of GBP 189,000.00 (€ 219,963.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Saudievolution Of Man von Ahmed Mater kam im April 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 7.250,00 (€ 8.256,98) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ahmed Mater erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Magnetism (Triptych) im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 189.000,00 (€ 219.963,46).
