Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Gêmea by Adriana Varejão was sold in the Contemporary Curated featuring works from “In Its Own Light: Property from the Collection of Ed Cohen and Victoria Shaw” auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2017. The price achieved of USD 125,000.00 (€ 116,844.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adriana Varejão achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Parede com Incisões a la Fontana II (Wall with Incisions a la Fontana II) in February 2011 with an auction result of GBP 1,105,250.00 (€ 1,301,892.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Gêmea von Adriana Varejão wurde im März 2017 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated featuring works from “In Its Own Light: Property from the Collection of Ed Cohen and Victoria Shaw” bei Sothebys in New York versteigert.
