Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 Christies in London held the auction Post War and Contemporary Art Evening Auction, which included the work Parede com Incisão a la Fontana 3 (Wall with incision à la Fontana 3) by Adriana Varejão. It changed hands for a price of GBP 752,750.00 (€ 848,869.77) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. Other works by Adriana Varejão have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2011 the work Parede com Incisões a la Fontana II (Wall with Incisions a la Fontana II) was auctioned for GBP 1,105,250.00 (€ 1,301,892.03).
