Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Rue Song by Adriana Varejão was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in November last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 500,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 516,975.00 (€ 500,799.19). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adriana Varejão - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Parede com Incisões a la Fontana II (Wall with Incisions a la Fontana II), which sold at auction in February 2011 for GBP 1,105,250.00 (€ 1,301,892.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Rue Song von Adriana Varejão kam im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 500.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 516.975,00 (€ 500.799,19) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Adriana Varejão mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Parede com Incisões a la Fontana II (Wall with Incisions a la Fontana II) beobachtet, die im Februar 2011 für GBP 1.105.250,00 (€ 1.301.892,03) versteigert wurde.
