Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Yuri Masnyj was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 4,063.00 (€ 3,021.04). Other works by Yuri Masnyj have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May 2007 by the work In a Blind Run at USD 7,320.00 (€ 5,441.17).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Yuri Masnyj im September 2011 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 4.063,00 (€ 3.021,04) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Yuri Masnyj wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Mai 2007 die Arbeit In a Blind Run mit USD 7.320,00 (€ 5.441,17).
