Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2008 Phillips in New York held the auction Saturday@Phillips, which included the work Ride the Darker Wave by Yuri Masnyj. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,478.47) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yuri Masnyj - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work In a Blind Run, which sold at auction in May 2007 for USD 7,320.00 (€ 5,441.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Saturday@Phillips durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ride the Darker Wave von Yuri Masnyj zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.478,47) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yuri Masnyj mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit In a Blind Run beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für USD 7.320,00 (€ 5.441,17) versteigert wurde.
