The result of USD 1,000.00 (€ 642.34) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Yuri Masnyj have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work In a Blind Run in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 7,320.00 (€ 5,441.17).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Under the Regime von Yuri Masnyj kam im April 2008 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 1.000,00 (€ 642,34) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yuri Masnyj auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit In a Blind Run im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.320,00 (€ 5.441,17).
