Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Three Prints (T.M.C.F. 1312; 135; One Not In T.M.C.F.) by Yozo Hamaguchi was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,840.37). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yozo Hamaguchi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roofs of Paris (M. Gallery 42) in May 2002 with an auction result of USD 33,460.00 (€ 35,828.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Three Prints (T.M.C.F. 1312; 135; One Not In T.M.C.F.) von Yozo Hamaguchi im November 2015 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.840,37) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yozo Hamaguchi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Roofs of Paris (M. Gallery 42) im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 33.460,00 (€ 35.828,25).
