Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Yozo Hamaguchi could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in March last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints & Multiples auction, the work Nine shells changed hands for USD 1,402.50 (€ 1,264.31) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yozo Hamaguchi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roofs of Paris (M. Gallery 42) in May 2002 with an auction result of USD 33,460.00 (€ 35,828.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yozo Hamaguchi konnte im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Prints & Multiples wechselte die Arbeit Nine shells für USD 1.402,50 (€ 1.264,31) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yozo Hamaguchi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Roofs of Paris (M. Gallery 42) im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 33.460,00 (€ 35.828,25).
