In May 2002 Christies in New York held the auction Nineteenth and Twentieth Century Prints, which included the work Roofs of Paris (M. Gallery 42) by Yozo Hamaguchi. The »bidding war« ended at USD 33,460.00 (€ 35,828.25), 52% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Roofs of Paris (M. Gallery 42) the most expensive artwork by Yozo Hamaguchi that we have observed at auctions so far.
