The work Walnut. by Yozo Hamaguchi was sold in the Prints and Editions | ONLINE ONLY auction at VAN HAM in November last year. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 726.00 45% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yozo Hamaguchi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roofs of Paris (M. Gallery 42) in May 2002 with an auction result of USD 33,460.00 (€ 35,828.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 45 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Walnut. von Yozo Hamaguchi wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Prints and Editions | ONLINE ONLY bei VAN HAM versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 726,00 und damit 45% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yozo Hamaguchi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Roofs of Paris (M. Gallery 42) im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 33.460,00 (€ 35.828,25).
