Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Grapes in Darkness by Yozo Hamaguchi was auctioned at Bonhams in May this year. The price achieved of USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,393.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yozo Hamaguchi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roofs of Paris (M. Gallery 42) in May 2002 with an auction result of USD 33,460.00 (€ 35,828.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Grapes in Darkness von Yozo Hamaguchi kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.550,00 (€ 2.393,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yozo Hamaguchi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Roofs of Paris (M. Gallery 42) im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 33.460,00 (€ 35.828,25).
