Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Highland cattle and a calf beside a loch by William R. C. Watson. The price achieved of GBP 500.00 (€ 578.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William R. C. Watson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sheep grazing by a loch in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 11,153.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Highland cattle and a calf beside a loch von William R. C. Watson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 500,00 (€ 578,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William R. C. Watson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sheep grazing by a loch im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 11.153,11).
