In March 2014 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & British Impressionist Art, which included the work "When The Morning Sun Dispels The Mist", Glen Finart, Argyleshire by William R. C. Watson. The auction ended at the price of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,631.05), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William R. C. Watson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sheep grazing by a loch, which sold at auction in October 2008 for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 11,153.11).

C. Watson zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.631,05) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00.
