Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2017 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, Maritime Art, Sporting & Wildlife Art, which included the work On the moors, Tay Valley, Perthshire by William R. C. Watson. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,591.94). Other works by William R. C. Watson have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 11,153.11) in October 2008 for the work Sheep grazing by a loch.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, Maritime Art, Sporting & Wildlife Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit On the moors, Tay Valley, Perthshire von William R. C. Watson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.591,94) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von William R. C. Watson haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 11.153,11) im Oktober 2008 für die Arbeit Sheep grazing by a loch beobachtet.
