In March 2017 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, Maritime Art, Sporting & Wildlife Art, which included the work On the moors, Tay Valley, Perthshire by William R. C. Watson. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,591.94). Other works by William R. C. Watson have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 11,153.11) in October 2008 for the work Sheep grazing by a loch.

C. Watson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.591,94) einen neuen Besitzer.
