In October 2008 Christies in London held the auction Scottish ArtThe Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh, which included the work Sheep grazing by a loch by William R. C. Watson. The price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 11,153.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Sheep grazing by a loch is the most expensive artwork by William R. C. Watson that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Oktober 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Scottish ArtThe Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sheep grazing by a loch von William R. C. Watson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 11.153,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden.
